Uric acid is a waste product created when the body breaks down purines, which come from both your own cells and foods such as red meat, seafood, and alcohol. Normally, the kidneys filter uric acid and remove it through urine. When levels rise too high, uric acid can form needle‑shaped crystals, especially in joints, leading to gout Why the Test Is Done Doctors use a uric acid test to evaluate several conditions: Gout — high uric acid can form crystals in joints, causing sudden pain, swelling, and redness. Kidney stones — excess uric acid can crystallise in the kidneys. Kidney function issues — high levels may indicate the kidneys aren’t clearing uric acid properly. Monitoring during cancer treatment — chemotherapy can rapidly break down cells, raising uric acid. Metabolic or genetic disorders — such as Lesch‑Nyhan syndrome. You may also be tested if you have symptoms like joint pain, swelling, kidney stone pain, or if you’re at higher risk due to obesity, high blood pressure, or diabetes. Other clinic sites are managed by Randox Health, offering a range of healthcare services. Patients receive appointment confirmations via their preferred communication method, detailing time, date, and staff availability. If confirmation is not received, the appointment will not proceed. We reserve the right to cancel appointments with less than 24 hours' notice due to unforeseen circumstances. Patients should check confirmation messages for updates and contact the clinic if they need to reschedule or need assistance. All services must be paid for in advance, and an invoice will be sent upon appointment confirmation.

Cancellation Policy

Booking can be cancelled or rescheduled 24hr before appointment time. We cannot process full refund less than 24 hours notice before appointment time and money can not be refunded.
