PEth Blood Test – What It Is and What It Shows PEth (Phosphatidylethanol) is the most accurate blood test for detecting alcohol use. It is widely used by IVF clinics, social services, courts, occupational health, and private medical centres because it is far more reliable than standard alcohol markers. What PEth Can Show 1. Recent Drinking PEth can detect alcohol use from the previous 2–4 weeks. 2. Level of Drinking It can indicate whether alcohol use has been: -None -Low -Moderate -Heavy / chronic 3. Continuous Drinking If someone drinks regularly, PEth may stay detectable slightly longer. Every sample is analysed by our UKAS-accredited laboratory, and every result includes clinician interpretation in a clear, comprehensive report. An Easy Read version is also available — just request it when booking.
Cancellation Policy
Booking can be cancelled or rescheduled 24hr before appointment time. We cannot process full refund less than 24 hours notice before appointment time and money can not be refunded.
