The Bence Jones protein urine test detects abnormal immunoglobulin light chains in urine, often used to help diagnose and monitor multiple myeloma and related blood cancers. Tumour-marker tests are used in specific clinical situations and are not general cancer-screening tests. They cannot diagnose or rule out cancer on their own. Results should be discussed with a healthcare professional. Every sample is analysed by our UKAS-accredited laboratory, and every result includes clinician interpretation in a clear, comprehensive report.
