What is a coagulation profile? A coagulation profile (coag) includes: Prothrombin Time, Inter Norm Ratio, Partial Thromboplastin Time, Fibrinogen. It is a screening test for abnormal blood clotting because it examines the factors most often associated with a bleeding problem. It does not cover all causes of bleeding tendencies. Test to be done between 3-5pm due to stability time. If not sure, please get in touch with clinic. How is a coagulation profile test performed? A coagulation profile is a blood test. It requires a few millilitres of blood from a vein, and it is important that the blood sample tube is filled to the correct level – otherwise false readings may occur. Why would you need to get a coagulation profile? A coagulation profile may be performed to confirm normal clotting function before a procedure which may cause bleeding, or in conditions associated with bleeding, for example from the respiratory, urinary, or gastrointestinal tract. A coagulation profile may also be requested by your doctor if there is a concern about easy bruising or bleeding. This may happen because of hereditary conditions such as Haemophilia, or acquired conditions such as liver failure, or severe infections. Other clinic sites are managed by Randox Health, offering a range of healthcare services. Patients receive appointment confirmations via their preferred communication method, detailing time, date, and staff availability. If confirmation is not received, the appointment will not proceed. We reserve the right to cancel appointments with less than 24 hours' notice due to unforeseen circumstances. Patients should check confirmation messages for updates and contact the clinic if they need to reschedule or need assistance. All services must be paid for in advance, and an invoice will be sent upon appointment confirmation.
Cancellation Policy
Booking can be cancelled or rescheduled 24hr before appointment time. We cannot process full refund less than 24 hours notice before appointment time and money can not be refunded.
